Sky Trek is similar, in a way, to other rain forest canopy tours in Costa Rica, but incorporates some significant differences, such as being of larger scale, with more zip lines and platforms, longer trails, and suspension bridges. Further, the construction is of the highest quality, utilizing protective and secure materials, including metal platforms with mesh-covered steel rails which prevent falling or sliding.
The Sky Trek zip line requires no special atheletic abilities. All you need to know how to do is sit down - gravity and the guides do the rest for you. The guides will gear you up and get you started from each platform. Unlike some other ziplines, you do not need to worry about braking at the end of the line. The guides will use a rope pulley system to decrease your speed as you near the landing platforms if you are going to fast.
Since your tour guides will take care of starting and stopping you on each cable, you can relax and enjoy the ride. You will be allowed to change your order at any time, so it is easy to go ahead or drop behind the rest of your party. This works out well because it allows you a brief pause in between the ziplines to take photos or videos of others in your group as they zip above and through the canopy.

All about the Sky Trek Canopy Tour

- A canopy observation tower, 22 meters high (8 stories or 72 feet).
- 9 cable systems, the longest is 2,525 feety (770 meters), and 456 feet (130 meters) high.
- Sky Trek offers a total stretch of 1.9 miles (3 kilometers) of cables.
- The system is integrated with a gorgeous aerial tram which will take you 2,625 feet (800 meters) through primary forest.

- Only top quality equipment is used, like the world class French made Petzl harnesses
- Also available on this tour is Sky Walk, a set of trails through the cloud forest.
Weight limit is 275 pounds (125 kilos) with a maximum waist of 47.5 inches(120 cm) and maximum thigh of 31.5 inches( 80 cm).

We visited you at the beginning of April, the "trek" through the forest was
just so much fun. We have talked about it often and fondly. Costa Rica was
one of the most beautiful countries I have visited the people are friendly
and kind, the food delicious, and the landscape great for the soul and mind.
However the trek was wild, fun, and scared the ----- out of us. As I write
this I am grinning ear to ear (large smile). I will differently revisit Costa
Rica and the SKY TREK canopy tour.
