Birdwatcher’s Paradise Lodge is the choice for nature lovers that don’t want to be bothered by busy tourism in the Monteverde area.
Its quiet location on the 3 acres sized farm ''Finca Cialo Verde'' is beautiful. A birdwatcher can observe right from the huge terrace, which is surrounded by primary forest and secondary growth, as well as by coffee- and banana plants
Walking on our trails you can observe Toucans, Trogons, Quetzals, the 3 wattled Bellbird, Mot Mots, Manakins, parrots, hummingbirds, Toldedos, hawks, butterflies and other winged beauties of this zone. We have also seen a variety of mammals. Enjoy views of the mountains and of the Pacific Ocean.
Being only 10 minutes away from the center of noisy and dusty Santa Elena gives you easy access of other attractions of Monteverde. Some tour providers pick you up right at the farm’s entrance.
The house is brand new, built in an artistic-rustic style. You find a fully equipped kitchen, hot shower with a separate toilet. In the sleeping area there are 2 double beds and 1 single bed. In the sitting area you can rest beside a wood stove, a cozy place in cool nights.
Birdwatcher’s Paradise is the warmest and less windy place of Monteverde area. The huge terrace invites to enjoy the sun.

From the bus stop in Santa Elena you go to the cemetery and follow the road down to the end, where you turn right. After the bridge you turn right to arrive at the lodge.
